Created by Dark Whisper for DAZ Originals back in 2004, this yellow guy with white gloves existed long before emoji became mainstream. For years, Dark Whisper had no social media presence and was completely unreachable — until the $JOE community tracked him down through LadyLittlefox, a fellow 3D artist who knew him from the early DAZ days.

Dark Whisper confirmed his identity by sharing never-before-seen original EmotiGuy models from 2004 that couldn't be found anywhere online. He revealed that EmotiGuy originally started as a sunflower-based character — but his mom said it "creeped her out," so he redesigned it into the iconic yellow emoji we know today.
